As you may or may not have noticed, I've stopped blogging here ever since I moved back to Winnipeg. There is much less need to do it now that I'm around almost everyone I know... Most of my stuff and thoughts are now on facebook, so if you want to see what kind of wacky adventures I go on(and yes, there are lots of them!) go there and look for Frano Sailer. I am in the Winnipeg network... or email me at dnomn8r@gmail.com

Well, I leave Edmonton in about 3 hours or so(or at least go geet the rental car and start packing). Cleaning has been a lot of fun, and of course, by fun I obviously mean not fun. Everything is fairly clean, although unfortunately I can't do a lot of my final cleaning until all my stuff is moved into the van.
Oh, and speaking of stuff, I have a lot of it! I am not sure how I managed to accumulate all of this stuff, but I guess that's what happens when you're out living on your own for 2 and a half years. I just hope it all fits into the van...otherwise I'll have to decide what to leave behind.
Anyways, it's been a fun time here... I learned a lot, had fun, and at least know what its like living on my own....therefore, its time to move back in with my parents!!! Muahahahahaha. At least for the short term.
I still have no idea what I will do if and when I will graduate, so I don't know how long I will be living in Winnipeg either. But.. here is a list of things I would like to do in Winnipeg.... More partying, D&D, floor hockey, ice hockey, ice soccer(though I doubt this will happen ever since the "Jamie" incident(just kidding), board games... and more!
Well, time to get ready and finish up cleaning, which includes the computer. Wish us luck...our journey is long and perilous(but thankfully not that complex) and see most of you soon!!!
Goodbye edmonton.. you've been good to me, but its time to say goodbye. :)Current Mood: excited

Man, its freezing at my place right now. It must be like 10 degrees, and I am not exaggerating. The reason is simple.. my place has holes.. that's right... holes. Normally, not noticeable when its decent weather outside, but the fact that its -34 outside right now makes the holes quite painfully obvious. It also doesn't help that I am in a basement suite, with a large, not very insulating window :P I have taped up all the holes and the blinds to the window to try and increase insulation...but so far, not much success :( So, right now, I am constantly fully dressed, and always with a blanket around me.. it sucks. Oh well, I am moving out in less than a month, so I can probably survive this.
In other news, school progresses at the same pace as normal :P I's almost my birthday and I had to be reminded by Mike. I almost completely forgot about it... Talk about being isolated out here! My plan for my birthday? Not much, just sit around.. maybe order a pizza ;)
Anyways, been watching the NYR games on tvuplayer(internet tv). It's pretty decent quality, so I get my Ranger fix, since they show most games. Hmm, other random thoughts...Right... good shows on tv right now.... Boston Legal, BSG, and my other usuals. Overrated and bad shows on tv... Heroes, Prison Break and many other shows that are all so generic, they merge into one :P Nothing else really going on... playing some NHL07.. it's fun... everyone should get it so we can play online!!!
Peace out. Btw, Any thoughts on the Wii and PS3? In my opinion, the Wii will be a huge hit, and the PS3, a mild disappointment. I want a Wii and the Zelda game ;)Current Mood: cold

so I just shaved off the beard. Why? Well, first of all, it was getting annoying. I was stroking it too much. Also, it was not coming in very evenly, so it was starting to look pretty dumb. Now that it's off, it feels weird though. My chin feels tiny!
Anyways, in other news, I finished my first academic paper. It was not an easy task. Me and my prof were up until 2:30 AM working hard on it. The deadline was at 4 am :P on top of that, I was pretty sick at the same time, so overall it was not the greatest of experiences. But.. the final product is pretty good I think. I just hope it gets accepted. The conference is in Hawaii afterall ;)
Anyways, couple other things. Elections in the states are coming up soon. Normally, I would not care much... but lately, US politics have started affecting my life(eg. stupid airport security ) shit) so I am hoping the dems win the majority. Watching the campaign ads is funny though. Sooo much mudslinging.. Completely catering to the "common" voted( eg. dumbass americans)
Another thing... Febreze commercials either make me want to scream in anger, or laugh out loud at their absurdity. What do other people think?
Anyways, I've decided to slowly start preparing to reenter the "dating" scene, and start flirting with girls again.. I'll prolly wait until I get to Winnipeg, but still.. might wanna practice up ;)
Anyways, I have more to say, but not sure who is listening anymore... so won't write anything more...
ok.. just thought of one more thing. Been playing civ4 again(as a break right after finsiing paper). The new patch broke the mod I was using, and I was impatient for the mod guy to fix it, so I learned how to make civ4 mods :P It's actually pretty awesome! They give you most of the source code, and you edit and compile it directly!!! Then you make a dll, that is loaded up as your mod. It's pretty cool, and If I ever work on a big game project, Io will push for making this kind of cool modifiability. (you can change pretty much the entire game, since you have access to all the relevant code).

Ok, school is progressing fairly well. I've got almsot 4 pages of an 8 page paper written, and it's not due until the end of October. After that, all I have to do is one major code change, and a bunch more experiments, and then write like a madman during november.. and I MIGHT be able to graduate by Feb. If not, I'll prolly finish it from Winnipeg and fly in for my defence :P
In any case, for my leisure time, I've been playing lots of boardgames lately, and doing pretty well. My most satisfying win in a long time was when I won as the traitor in a game called Shadows Over Camelot. It's a coop game, but there is a possibility someone is the traitor and working against everyone else. It's hard to explain, but it was awesome :P Mike might buy the game, so you people in Winnipeg may get to play soon :)
Anyways, I'll be back in Winnipeg tommorow for some floor hockey and stay until wednesday morning :P SHould be fun.. Time to go, I am trying green tea instead of black tea, and my episode of Veronica Mars just finished downloadingand I gotta watch :PCurrent Mood: productive

Hmm, what to say... what to say?
Well, first of all, as Christophe and Mike suggested, I started, and finished watching Veronica Mars. Yes, that's right Christophe. I am all caught up... right up to the first episode of the 3rd season, so there ;P
Otherwise, thesis progresses. I thought I was near done coding everyting, but in our last meeting, we realized a few fairly major things that needed changing, so once again, there will be more coding to do :( Oh well, it will result in a better final result in the end, so it's worth it. So, actually, right now, I've completely switched over to paper writing mode, since I need to have a paper done by the end of October, and I will be spending a week in winnipeg starting from the 19th. So far, it's going fairly well. about 1/8th done :P
On another note, new season of Battlestar Galactica has started, and the fillers are over in Naruto!!! It shall be a good month!
Hmm, what else... not much has been happening here. I recently bought two 320 gig hard drives, and external compartments for them. Why? Well, I needed the space, and they are currently DIRT CHEAP. Those 4 things all together, including taxes and shipping cost me 350 bucks. yeah, it's ridiculously cheap nowadays.
Hmm, well, that's about it.. yeah, i know.. I am boring. In other news, my beard is getting pretty long, as is my hair :P My NHL fantasy team is getting spanked. I just spanked Elly, Mike , Iain and Alex in Settlers of Catan.. twice... and umm, that's about it :P Cheerio!

» Rant
Time to rant for a bit. What has spurned this on, well, basically some free time, and from watching a now cancelled HBO series called Deadwood.
Deadwood is an awesome show. It's not flashy like battlestar galactica, or brutal as Rome(though it can be quite brutal at times). What differentiates it from the other shows is the acting and the character development. I can't really describe it here, so all I can do is suggeest for anyone reading this to watch it.
Which brings me to my rant. It started when I learned that HBO cancelledthe show after it's 3rd season. It was left mostly unresolved, and it's quite annoying. The reason was because apparently the production costs were too high. Yes, apparently shows like "Deal or no deal", which require -10 brain cells to watch and comprehend and are cheap to produce are more of a priority. That's right, it is an unofortunate part of capitalism. The dumb, unwashed masses have the biggest say. So, shows like Survivor, America's next top model, American Idol, 24, Lost etc.. will stick around, while shows with any quality and a requirement for the viewer to actually think will end up cancelled. Such is life I guess. but nevertheless, it's fucking frustrating.
Similar things about commercials piss me off. Most commercials are blatantly assuming you have no intelligence of your own, and they throw it right at your face. This goes especially for commercials about makeup, and allt he various other perfumes like Axe, etc.. Similarly, if you watch any commercials aimed at children, it's pretty much pure exploitation, not masked in any way. Quite fucking annoying. that's why the rich stay rich, it's because the poor are too fucking dumb to know they are giving the rich their money. grrr
anyways, that's my rant. Go watch Deadwood, and you will hopefully understand.

well, not much new to report. I watched the first, and so far only season of Rome(a tv show). It's pretty awesome. I like it mainly because it is not afraid to show Rome in a more realistic light. I am sure it's not very accurate as compared to how rome actually was, but I do know that it is MUCH more accurate than Gladiator ever was. That was my main gripe with that movie actually. You could smell the stench of hollywood emanating from that movie from a kilometer away.
Anyways, what else have I bee up to besides school. Hmm.. Well, I had my parents over here last weekend for a visit. It was pretty fun actually. We went shopping for food ;) :) :) :) I now officially do not have an empty fridge for once. However, my mom did take my shaver by accident, so now I have nothing to shave with. So, I've decided that instead of going out and buying a new shaver, I will let my beard grow once again :P we'll see how long it gets.
Anyways, lots more to say, but it's fairly boring stuff, so if you wanna hear it, MSN or ICQ me :P

» short update
Just a short update. New pictures are up on website. Check em out at http://198.166.62.224:1234/galleries/Camping_and_Grandpa_Pics/index.html And yes, the format is different, because I've converted to Google's Picasa. Why? Well, two reasons. First, my old program "Bins" craped out on me and went into an infinite loop, and this pissed me off. Second, Picasa is a much much much better program!
Anyways, not many pics from camping, but enjoy anyways. There is also a video. If it does not work automatically by viewing the thumbnail, you can download the video manually and find it at, http://198.166.62.224:1234/galleries/Camping_and_Grandpa_Pics/images/ at the end.
Anyways, cheers to all.

nothing exciting happening here. I tried out my new strategy on beating the AI in Civ4, and it worked like a charm. Hardest difficulty has been conquered. I Think I'm done with the game for a while :P Otherwise....been playing a lot of sports lately... mostly DDR, soccer, and now started playing some squash again. yay!
Thesis is still progressing, you know the story... blah :P
Here is a very interesting site, at least to me.. http://www.ww2incolor.com/gallery/ww2incolor check it out if you have time.
Hmm, what else is new... not much.. Went for farmers market last week, and bought some natural honey. Man, it's sooo much better than generic store stuff. Also found a sweet ass bakery. It's run by four old chinese women, and they make traditional european stuff(yeah, go figure). but it's really good. Also bought a couple of used books. The first one was by Kurt Vonnegut Jr, called Slaughterhouse Five. It's ...well...a trip. A bit crazy, but pretty good nonetheless. I also bought a book written by Levar Burton(most geeks should know who he is). His book is..ok.... nothing great though... I never finished it.
Also saw Snakes on a Plane. It's an ok movie. I didn't know what to expect, but it was at least mildly entertaining. Certainly better than most of the recycled crap in theaters nowadays. I just hope some decent movies come out soon...
Anyways, I think it's high time I install a webserver here, and post all the picture albums again(the server at home in Winnipeg died.) I also "plan" on writing my introduction in my thesis today... but you know how that is :P
EDIT: after about 3 hours of struggling with the webpage, I've finally got it runnning again. It turns out that the problem was not me, but fucking Telus. They are blocking port 80!!! Damn SOBs. Anyways, the site is up again at http://198.166.62.224:1234 Recent pics will be up this week sometime.

Not much new here, as usual.
I did install XGL on my computer, which is a neat desktop. Check out the video at http://video.google.ca/videoplay?docid=-7587965514994593432&q=xgl
Otherwise, just been working on my thesis. It's going well I think. I think I can finish by christmas :)
Other than that, haven't been doing much else but playing Dota and Civ4. I've finally found out a glaring weakness in the AI in Civ4, and I am confident I can beat it on even the hardest difficulty now. Of course, that hasn't been tested yet. Basically, the weakeness is that the computer does not have a good grasp of air power. If I have enough bombers, and a large enough stack of units, I can annihilate an AI with 10 times as many units as I, since it does not send all its units at the same time. It send them in fairly large stacks, but I just weaken them with bombers, and then my own stack kills all the units, taking minimal casualties.
Anyways...Tony said he got Warlords 3 working on XP, so I expect he'll want to play that again. That should be fun.
Oh, did I mention there is an acrophobia game online! If you haven't played it, try it out, it's lots of fun! http://www.megat.co.uk/acro.php
Anyways, that's all.

» There and back again... by Frano Sailer
Well, it's been almost a month since my last entry. A lot has happened since then, and I have a few things to say, and not necessarily in chronological order.
First off.. world cup. Overall, it was a pretty good tournament, marred only by a few incidents. I was disappointed a little bit with the offensive creativity overall. It seemed to me like most players were afraid to try any individual dekes to try and beat defenders one on one. Now, I admit it's probably a smarter play to make passes, but it makes for boring soccer :P. Anyways, I wasn't cheering for Italy at all during the tournament, but I must grudgingly admit that they played well, at least when they weren't diving or playing their patented defensive shell.
Otherwise, my trip back to Winnipeg was once again, awesome, yet too short. The camping trip was IMO, the best ever. We had lots of fun. Had fun setting up tarps, got completely soaked, got completely soaked(in the other sense), had some good beach fun, played some fun drinking games, played some drums, smoked some things, drank some funky tea, and lots of other fun stuff. Overall, a very mellow and awesome weekend, as I am sure everyone who was there will agree.
Otherwise, trip back was good. Very relaxing, and lots of fun with friends and family. We went to the beach yesterday at Grand Beach in Lake Winnipeg, and it made me realize how much I like the beach, and made me notice the distinct lack of beaches in the Edmonton area :( damn.
Anyways, now I'm back in Edmonton. I have a good plan for my thesis. I got a new desk from the university without asking for one. And I'm feeling good. All is good.

Well, first off, thanks Oilers and Carolina for the most memorable stanley cup final in my short memory. It was fun, and I look forward to next year.
Since I don't have much to say except that I am coming back on the 28th, I will mention something that's caught my attention in the news lately.
http://www.canada.com/topics/news/national/story.html?id=aaa5f4a5-866d-4e03-b0ad-dac4e8d89c82&k=2174
The story is about two Winnipeg girls who are complaining about not being allowed to play on a boys team. They say that the girls team sucks, and they want to develop their skills more. Well, I definitely don't agree with that at all. Why? Well, unless they allow boys to play on girls teams(which is not allowed almost anywhere, as far as I know), then they should not make an exception the other way either.
What I wouldn't give to play on a girls team! I'm not good enough to play on most boys teams, but I would likely be able to make the cut on a girls team, and then get to hang out with all the hot sport chicks! :P
Anyways, that's my take on it. Either be fair to both sexes, or keep the sexes segregated, with maybe the exception that if there is no sports team of that sex is available to join, then you can try out for the other team. This is currently done, although I doubt it's done for boys who want to join a girls team...(if there are any such boys(except for me) :P)
Anyways, what do you think?
edit: why do chess players in movies always act surprised when they get checkmated? It's like they didn't see the checkmate coming up. And for anyone who's played chess before, you know that just doesn't happen. Ugh, stupid movies.

» Poor sports days, let's hope it changes
First of all, World Cup has started!!! OMG WTF LOL !!!!!!!1one
Err, excuse that outburst, but I guess I am just a little excited. Afterall, it only comes once every four years, and is the only TRULY "world" cup. No other sport can claim that really. Football is played by every nation at a fairly high competitive level, so just getting to the World Cup is an achievement in itself.
Anyways the reason my title says poor sports days is of course mainly because of the Oilers. I am still confident that they can win, even though their backups will need to be heroes, that's for sure. Losing game 1 that way was obviously a terrible psychological blow (and it showed in game 2), but Oilers can get over it. The crowd here at Rexall place is too good to not let them get over it. Heh, I even tried to get tickets to the game(and was wlling to pay up to $250), but demand was so high, there wasn't even a sale to the public this time :P
I've also been following French Open tennis, and that's where the other poor sports news comes from. We had a Czech girl in the semis, but she choked when she was about to win the match, and ended up losing. Too bad, she was the only good looking one left too :( Oh well.
Anyways, school is going well, looks like we will have a decent game 2 and game 1 entry. Not sure about game 3. Oh right, you prolly don't know what I am talking about :P http://www.cs.ualberta.ca/~mburo/orts/AIIDE06/ that should help...
My parents are in town this weekend, so I get to play host. Not sure what we'll be doing yet.. besides watching the Oilers game tommorow, and the Czech game on monday ;)
Oh yah, I get to see and play boardgames against Ken Thompson this Sunday. For you non compsci geeks, he's a HUGE name in compsci. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ken_Thompson
Should be fun.

School is going well, I have some of my code integrated now... it can actually play games now! Kinda :P anywyas, there is still a lot of work to be done by me, and many others as well.. Our pathfinding still needs a lot of work for example.
Anyways, not much else to report. Been mostly working the past few days. I am playing soccer weekly, which is good for my legs(Cause I come home and am barely able to walk the next 2 days...which means I am out of shape). Otherwise, still playing a bit of Oblivion. I think I am nearing the end of the game now... but we'll see.
Hmm, otherwise, just a few tiny things that have been on my mind this past week...
- Never watch religious programming. It's basically one long attempt at trying to get you to give them money.
- Willy Wonka and the Chocolate factory is kinda fun.
- Willow is a great movie!!!
- A really good documentary about how the current permanent state of fear, and ultranationalism started, and why... Check out http://www.archive.org/details/ThePowerOfNightmares it's really good!
- Been reading a book by Jerry Seinfeld. Basically a collection of his funny thoughts... it's short, but has gems. For example
-You can measure distance by time. "How far away is that place?" "About 20 minutes." -But it doesn't work the other way. "When do you get off work?" "Around 3 miles."
I think it's great. I'm gonna see if I can use it in the real world somewhere ;)
Oh, and of course, I can't forget... the OILERS!!!! Going to the Stanley Cup finals!!!!! YAAAAAA
Man, they managed to make it.. and they made it in their standard fashion. With lots of crazy drama at the end :P (damn 6 on 3!).
Anyways, time to make some instant pudding to eat right before I head to bed at 7am :P

» crunch time
Not much to say. Mostly been crunch in terms of school stuff, since competition is less than a month away and we are nowhere near ready yet.
Sports season has started a bit now, which is good. Been playing soccer, and joined the comp sci softball team again this year. I get to play fairly competitive soccer twice a week now, so you Winnipeggers better keep up, or you'll be pwned when I get back :P
Anyways, my new comp is all set up, and now I have my old comp serving as my TV for now. I will make it act as a server later...
Well, third period in the Czech-Finland semifinal is starting, so I should get back and watch... it's 1-1 so far...
Oh, and 7 wins to go for the Oilers!!!

» New things galore
P.S.(pre scriptum) Wow, this entry is much longer than I planned now that I've written it.
Well, first things first... I got my new computer!!! I spent a bit of time setting up and installing things.. A few funny things happened on the way.. First of all, the windows installers absolutely suck ass. I had 3 previous partitions on the hard drive I wanted to install onto, and cleared one to make room for the new windows. However, the installer wouldn't install properly.. it kept trying to boot from the other 2 partitions, which were not bootable of course. In the end, I had to wipe out both of them, and in the process, losing all my data(since I had nowhere to put 200gb worth of stuff). Anyways, it was annoying, to say the least.
Further on the computer front, I had a bunch of trouble with my RAM, since I bought RAM that was too fast for my motherboard. I've underclocked the RAM now to 400Mhz, making it DDR400 effectively, and it seems to be much more stable now. Now, I have Windows 64bit, Windows 32 bit, and Gentoo 64 bit all installed and running nicely :) It's pretty sweet. The only gripes left with my computer now is that my case is fucked up, and the power supply slot is at the bottom of the case, instead of the top, which means some of the power cables do not reach the motherboard. So.. I either need a new PSU, or some sort of extension cable(if they exist) to be able to actually close my case up :P
So, now that I have my comp, I've installed, and been playing Oblivion. I have to say that the game is absolutely gorgeous!!! When walking around the main world, it almost feels like you're actually there! (yes, it's that good). That, along with cool stuff like when characters talk, their mouths actually move to the words(no idea how they managed to pull that off) and of course, the fun gameplay makes me a happy boy :) :) :)
I have been working on my thesis as well of course, and made very good progress. And it's been crash free for two weeks now!!!
Finally, James(korea James) has been in town for the past few days. So, we're been doing a bunch of stuff. We went out to the resident board game store here, and bought some games. I bought the real version of werewolf, along with movie trivial pursuit, and Mike bought a game called St. Petersburgh. After beating down James and Mike in St. Pete's, on Tuesday, went to the Oilers hockey game on Wednesday!!!
Yes, that's right, for those of you watching the 3OT game at home, we were there :P It was... well.. awesome! The crowd was sooo loud, the game was soo awesome, the everything was... awesome! Anyways, the tix were very expensive($170) for seats almost at the very back, but they were worth it!!! An experience of a lifetime!!! So worth it to live in an NHL city for you poor Winnipeggers ;)
Anyways, finally, played our first softball game yesterday. We won convincingly, and went out for pizza and boardgames afterwards. Lots of fun. I'd go into more details, but this entry is already uber(just for you James) long.

» work and waiting
Been working a lot on my thesis, mainly because finally there is crunch time (there is a competition in LA in 7 weeks, and we are nowhere near ready for it), and also because the code rewrite has made things sooo much easier. So, progress is going well. I might actually be done by September!
Otherwise, for those who don't know yet, I've bought a new computer.. mainly because I want to upgrade my current one, which is about 3 to 4 years old, but also because I want to play Oblivion ;) Plus, it'll be nice to have a new 64 bit toy to play with ;) I'll post some pictures later, once it's up and running.
Otherwise, not THAT much new. Rangers lost in 4, which I did not expect. Honestly, I did not think Jagr was 3/4 of the team, but it seems like he certainly was. Oh well, at least the Oilers are still alive...and doing well!!!
Anyways, it's been uber nice out here lately. I think I will try to find people here and organize weekly soccer games. I don't wanna get out of shape for when I come back to Winnipeg.
Well, that's all for now. I am hoping my next blog entry will be from my new computer... but I still have to wait for my video card to arrive :(

» Time for some upgrades
Well, last while has been full of upgrades, and upcoming upgrades as well.
I've spent most of the past two weeks rewriting most of my code for my thesis. It had to come to that because it was crashing at random times, and I could not figure out why. Anyways, it's good that I did that, because after rewriting most of the code, it made me realize how badly I had it organized at the start. It was basically a patchwork of "stuff" made to work just for a particular task. Anyways, it was uuuugly.
It's muuuch better now, and mostly working again. So that's awesome.
Otherwise, went to visit Tony in Calgary this weekend. Was good fun.. We went drinking at a bar which had a minigolf course around it. That was kinda weird, but awesome. Spent a lot of time watching playoff hockey. And I must say, the "no tolerance" policy that the refs are using for SOME games is awful... Games with so many power plays are awful to watch. Thankfully, the Edmonton games have been old school so far, and the refs actually let them play. Not coincidentally, those have been the most exciting games so far :P Agree?
Other than that, I've got my usualy list of stuff that's been on my mind.
1. Been watching some Champions League soccer on TSN. I used to think soccer players were wussies, and dove all the time. Don't get me wrong, they do dive, but most of the time, the other players are actually quite rough. I was quite surprised to see how rough they are.
2. Probably going to upgrade my computer, just so I can play Oblivion, which I took from Tony. Still deciding on whether to get a whole new comp, or to just upgrade some parts. I'll prolly get a whole new comp tho...
3. Found an awesome program called Hamachi, which basically sets up an SSH tunnel for your comp. Well, it does more than that, but I won't go into details. But more importantly, it allows us to play LAN games online vs each other online!!! So we can play Battlefield 1942 or AVP2 online vs each other. It's been tested, and it works. It's awesome.
That all 4 nau.

» nothing much
Been just chilling for the past while. My windows died while in the middle of installing mouse drivers for my new mouse. Now, I thought that safe mode would be able to fix this problem, but of course, things are not as simple as they should be. The problem was that windows was happy to boot up for me. It reported no problems at all actually. So, that is all well and good. However, my mouse, nor my keyboard were working. So, apparently, windows thinks it's perfectly fine to boot up without any input. Maybe they just want you to enjoy their nice desktop :P
Anyways, it was impossible to fix within windows, because windows did not think there was anything wrong. Luckily, I had linux on a different partition, and I was able to salvage just the mouse drivers using some crazy surgery(which involved mostly moving around and removing the most recently modified files in the windows partition). Once I had the mouse, I could actually do stuff, and the keyboard was no problem.
Anyways, otherwise, TAing is almost over. I spent 3 hours in this lab answering questions about a crazy template problem, that I barely understood. But at least I learned a lot :P
Oh, in other news, I've been elected to continue serving on the Graduate Student's Association for at least 4 more months, so that's good news.
There is other stuff I wanna talk about, but for some reason, I'm in a shitty mood lately, so I won't bother ranting.
